First Aid Guide

Eye Contact

Flush eye with copious quantities of water. If persistent irritation occurs, obtain medical attention.

Skin Contact

Remove contaminated clothing and flush exposed area with water, then wash with soap. For high-pressure injection injuries, send casualty immediately to hospital without waiting for symptoms. Obtain medical attention even if no apparent wounds are visible.

Inhalation

No treatment necessary under normal conditions of use. If symptoms persist, obtain medical advice.

Ingestion

Generally no treatment necessary unless large quantities are swallowed. Get medical advice.

Eyes

Wear safety glasses or full face shield if splashes are likely to occur. Must be approved to EU Standard EN166.

Hands

Wear gloves approved to relevant standards (EN374 or F739) made from PVC, neoprene or nitrile rubber when hand contact may occur. Replace contaminated gloves and maintain personal hygiene by washing hands thoroughly after use.

Respiratory

No respiratory protection ordinarily required under normal conditions. If engineering controls do not maintain adequate airborne concentrations, select appropriate respiratory protection equipment meeting EN141 standards for particulate/organic gases and vapours.

Skin/Body

Skin protection beyond standard issue work clothes not ordinarily required under normal conditions of use.

  • Use only if manufacturer's seal is intact
  • Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin and inhalation of vapours or mists
  • Properly dispose of contaminated rags and cleaning materials to prevent fires
  • When handling in drums, wear safety footwear and use proper handling equipment
  • Use local exhaust ventilation if risk of inhalation of vapours, mists or aerosols exists
Storage

Store food-grade lubricants separately from other lubricants, chemicals and foodstuffs. Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place at 0-40°C (32-104°F). Use properly labelled containers and ensure tight closure after decanting. Use only mild steel or high-density polyethylene containers; avoid PVC.
